spring? is that you?

Do yourself a favor tonight and pick up an orange or two. The sweet, bright, and slightly tangy flavor (and undeniable juicy factor) are just what you're looking for. Especially since, for the time being, we've enjoyed two temperate and gorgeous days in a row. I'm serious. I cut into my orange last night, and the room erupted with "The hills are alive..."

What? Your oranges don't do that?

I supremed (fancy schmancy word for segmented) my orange, thinly sliced some red onion, and gently tossed them with baby greens and white balsamic vinaigrette. With a torn hunk of baguette and some of my Gres des Vosges cheese (I'm still kind of freaking out about this stuff. Pick one up here at Gourmet Library.), a glass of cold, crisp Chilean Sauvignon Blanc, and my Monday didn't feel as much like a Monday.

Sadly, all was nearly ruined after a horrific and deeply disturbing finale of The Bachelor. But I suppose that's neither here nor there.

Or is it?
